Still Dreaming: The Story Behind This Print

Still Dreaming: The Story Behind This Print

there's something about this one that i find really hard to put into words, and honestly that's kind of how i know it's a good frame, the best shots are usually the ones where you look at them and you just feel something before you can explain what it is.

i think what i keep coming back to with Still Dreaming is the stillness of it, which sounds obvious given the name but it's more than that, it's like the whole scene is suspended, like time just stopped for a second and the camera was there to catch it. those moments are rare, like genuinely rare, and most of the time when you're in them you don't even realise until you get back and look at the files.

i shoot a lot, like a lot, and most of it doesn't make the cut. not because it's bad necessarily, just because it's not different enough, it's not saying something. this one said something to me straight away and that doesn't happen as often as people probably think it does when they look at a photographer's feed.

if this one's been sitting in the back of your mind for a while, that's probably your answer. see the Still Dreaming print here and find the size that works for your space.
