Snapper Rocks is one of my favorite spots to photograph when the waves are big and powerful. It's the start of the battle ground, where surfers and the ocean go head to head. Jumping off the rocks here isn't for the faint of heart, and I've seen many failed attempts.
But the one thing that stands out the most is the raw energy and size of the waves. They will humble any person, and are a big reason why I have such a deep respect for the ocean. In this photo, you can see the waves crashing against the rocks, and the spray of water that rises up as a result. It's a powerful and awe-inspiring sight, and one that I'm glad to have captured.
