Our bodies need nature to recharge, so if you haven't given your body time to recharge in nature lately, now's the time. Sooner or later, we have to become honest with ourselves. The question becomes louder and louder and through crisis, chaos, and collapse, it commands that an answer be declared.

Addiction and attachment to the past are common and they're crippling. I know it all too well.

So, what feeds the attachments to the past? What's the incentive driving addiction to what was? There must be a pay-off, conscious or unconscious.

I’ve come to learn that it’s safety. Yes, safety. It’s safe to stay in the past. The familiar ways of being, thinking, and behaving. It’s easier to run the same story day in and day out. The story that matches the identity we occupy, the version of 'me' others have come to know and relate with.

We must choose to leave our history behind.
