It often takes a long time for a vision to come to life, and it's not often that you have an idea and then go out and do it. This is especially true when it comes to nature and the ocean. You are forever at the mercy of the power and change of nature.

But for me, creating images like this comes down to a lot of planning and careful thought about how I will execute the image I want. The moment flashes by in an instant, and if you miss it, it could be another year before you have the opportunity to capture it again. That's why I love the process.

Creating in nature means surrendering to a much greater power than yourself, and to do what you want, you must believe in the process and be patient.
